Bigg Boss 13 is almost here, this time in a spicier and pacier avatar. It will surely appeal to the show’s fans who get their annual dose of masala from the controversial reality show. BB 13 was recently launched in Mumbai and show’s host Salman Khan answered some of the questions that fans might have in mind.
Contributing to the spice factor, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai star Ameesha Patel will be seen adding a unique twist to the show. According to reports, the Bollywood beauty will be entering the show as maalkin (owner) of the house and boss around. There will be no commoners this time around and contestants will be all celebrities. Some of them will be ‘ghosts’, while others will be ‘players’.
Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Sidharth Shukla, Rashami Desai, Aarti Singh, Dalljiet Kaur are among the confirmed contestants. Plus the BB 13 house has got a spooky makeover.
From location, show’s format to the theme of the show, here’s what’s new in Bigg Boss 13 this time:
Ameesha Patel as the malkin of the house
Kaho Na Pyaar Hai actress Ameesha Patel, who was also present at the launch event of Bigg Boss 13, will add a unique twist to the show. She will be the maalkin of the house and also give tasks to the contestants. But here’s the catch. She will reportedly stay in the house only for a day. Salman Khan flirted with Ameesha during the event complimenting her on her weight loss, saying she’s looking hot.
Salman Khan clears the air around show’s format
When Salman Khan declared in the show’s promos that Bigg Boss 13 will have a grand finale in four weeks, many of the fans assumed that the show will come to an end in a month. However, during the launch event of Bigg Boss 13, Salman Khan revealed that there will be a finale in a month but the show will continue for 15 more weeks.
Salman Khan also said that Bigg Boss tends to be slow in its initial two weeks considering the contestants don’t know each other. So this time the makers want to spice it up and pace it up from the very beginning. This is probably to make sure there is not a single dull moment in the show.

Reason for location change
Salman Khan said that the decision to move the location of the BB 13 house from Lonavla to Film City was made to keep the expenses in check. Earlier, the maintenance cost was higher due to a faraway location.
The actor said it will also be convenient for celebrity guests who had to commute to Lonavla earlier for the shoot.

Confirmed contestants
Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Sidharth Shukla, Rashami Desai, Aarti Singh, Dalljiet Kaur, Mughda Godse and Mahira Sharma are confirmed contestants and will be locked inside the house. Majority of these confirmed contestants are small screen stars.

Salman Khan’s fee
Although earlier their were reports that Salman Khan is charging a whopping Rs 400 crore and will be taking home Rs 31 crore per week, latest reports suggest that the superstar will get Rs 13 crore per week for 15 weeks which makes it around 195 crore.
According to the report, the actor charged Rs 11 crore per week last year, making it Rs 165 crore for the entire season.
Theme of the show: Ghosts and more
Bigg Boss 13 will have a ghost team this time and contestants will be divided into two goups having 6 members each. The ghost team will have six people including Meghna Malik, Pavitra Punia and Mahika Sharma, while players team include Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Rashami Desai, Dayanand Shetty, Rajpal Yadav and Siddhart Shukla.
Players will be tasked with unmasking the ghosts in order to enter the house, ghosts need to protect their identity to stop players from entering the house, according to a source close to the show.
Inside tour of Bigg Boss 13 House
Colors TV gave a glimpse of the house on its social media account from the eyes of a cute dog fluffy who has accidentally entered the house. Omung Kumar recently revealed that the theme of the BB house is BB Museum. Last time, the house was modelled as per the beach theme.

Premiere date
Bigg Boss 13 will premiere on September 29 at 9 PM on Colors TV and will air Mon-Fri at 10:30 PM and Sat-Sun at 9 PM.
