New Delhi: Netflix’s much-hyped Indian original Bard of Blood hits the web today. The Emraan Hashmi starrer espionage drama, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, is creating a lot of buzz online thanks to its gritty trailer that also promises some strong performances from the stellar cast including Sobhita Dhulipala, Kirti Kulhari, Vineet Kumar Singh among others.
The web series is adapted from Bilal Siddiqui’s bestselling novel The Bard of Blood that was release four-five years back. Siddiqui has also contributed in penning the series along with Mayank Tewari and Gaurav Verma. It is produced by Gaurav Verma and Shah Rukh Khan.
The seven-episode series that has been shot in Ladakh and Rajasthan has been getting marvellous early reviews from all the quarters. Packed with action, twists and stars, the series seems like a perfect weekend watch. It has started streaming on Netflix on September 27, 1:30 PM onwards.
What is it about
In Bard of Blood, Emraan Hashmi plays a former RAW agent Kabir Anand who’s recalled from his new life as a Shakespeare professor in Panchgani to save his country and is sent on a covert mission with analyst Isha Khanna (Sobhita Dhulipala) and another undercover agent Veer Singh (Vineet Kumar Singh) to rescue four RAW agents captured in Balochistan.
