New Delhi: Siddharth Dey is out of Bigg Boss 13 in mid-week eviction last night. The writer says his journey came to an end because of his injury as he had lost interest in the activities of the house. “Jaisi journey, waise bharni,” he says adding that he doesn’t regret anything.
Dey also said that he wants Paras to win Bigg Boss 13 as he’s entertaining and not spreading negativity like others. As for Shefali, he says their journey will continue outside the house. “Bigg Boss ke saath bhi, Bigg Boss ke baad bhi.”
In an exclusive conversation with Top Lead India, Siddharth Dey talks about his journey, the dirty game going on inside and his favourite contestants.
TLI: How was your journey inside the Bigg Boss 13 house?
Siddharth Dey: The journey was adventurous as well as madventurous. Overall, nice experience. I would say that I was expecting people to be more human, you know some people, which I didn’t find because of that and because of my injury at the back of my neck, the journey came to an abrupt end..
TLI: So you are saying your eviction happened because of your health?
Siddharth Dey: Nahi not like that. Mid-week eviction happens every year and this year is no exception. In the past 1.5 weeks, I was not that active. You might have noticed during one of the episodes that Shefali also said that I wanted to go. If a person doesn’t want to stay why would people vote for them. Jaisi journey waise bharni, because as long as I am not wrong I don’t regret anything.
TLI: You had a connection with Shefali since the very beginning. Then what happened? You seemed to be mingling more with other people later?
Siddharth Dey: Hum dono ka jo connection raha wo Bigg Boss ke saath bhi hai aur Bigg Boss ke baad bhi. If you like somebody, you have to think about them even if it means doing some things which the other person might not understand at the moment. Like in the matki waala task, all the girls were against her. So when her matki was already broken aur wo aisa khilona chhti thi jo unke liye khatarnak hai, I didn’t give want her to be misunderstood by others because negativity badh jaati. Matki phod jar kisi ka fayada. Aarti and Rashmi’s relationship got strained because of the task. I didn’t want that to happen with her.
TLI: You didn’t support Shefali even in the BB Toy Factory task and gave more material to her opponents.
Siddharth Dey: To quote from one of the films I am writing, someone asks the hero–desh ko bachaoge ya dilbar ko? The hero says jab desh aur dilbar mein se kisi ek ko bachana ho, to asli mard dono ko bachata hai.
Rashami and Devoleena were part of our group and I knew that they would help Shefali to get ahead in the game. Shefali trusted me and she was the one who made a connection with me and I didn’t want to break her trust and wanted her to do well in the game. She used to get upset with me momentarity but when she understood things later, she used to say aap hi theek ho.
TLI: When you entered the game, everybody thought you could become the next mastermind. But instead you attracted more controversies by saying distasteful things to the girls.
Siddharth Dey: I never intended to become mastermind. When I had come, I had left my brains in my laptop. When your opponents are playing such a dirty game and they can go to any extent to prove themselves a better player, then what to do. This is the sole season of Bigg Boss where there was so much aggression and gandagi.
Besides, Bigg Boss doesn’t give you chance to show your clean side. Situations are created in a way that provoke you. Like Sana said she was targetting me in the task and now will target Paras. Their team is always planning and plotting. For how long can you stop others from crossing the line, you have to speak something to stop them.
When Shehnaz was getting close to me, I couldn’t have said Devi maa ki kasam mere se door ho jaa. Wo sunne waali hai.
I never abused girls, I always did things for them. People have no right to judge me. Saari ladkiyon ki main help kar raha tha. I never indulged in fights, never showed aggression, never gave maa behen-ki gaaliyan. People are doing all this inside the house.
TLI: Salman Khan did not like your behaviour inside the house. Hope your friendship with him is not affected.
Siddharth Dey: Salman sir se baat nahi hui abhi. I would go to meet him soon. I hope he remembers Maine Pyaar Kiya and not Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya. He likes me so much. I don’t think out friendship will be affected.
TLI: Who should be the winner of Bigg Boss 13?
Siddharth Dey: Shefali, Paras and Rashami are the able candidates for winning. As a viewer if you ask me, then it could be Paras, he deserves to win. Wo kahta tha aap writer ho aapko bahas mein padne ki zaroorat nahi, hum sambhal lenge. He never crosses line and gets aggressive. Wo masti karta hai, gandagi nahi karta. He doesn’t do planning and scheming like many others.
