New Delhi: Lovebirds Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are all set to take their relationship to the next level, if sources are to be believed.
The couple are planning to tie the knot in 2020 and have started preparations for their wedding, although they are yet to finalise the date.
A source told Mumbai Mirror that the two may get married towards the year end after the release of Farhan Akhtar’s movie Toofan. “But they may spring a surprise by tying the knot earlier than that,” said the source.
Farhan, 46, and Shibani, 39, made their relationship public in 2018 when the latter posted a romantic picture with a mystery man in February and the former posted the same pic with a heart shaped emoji a month later.
Farhan Akhtar who started out directing films like Dil Chahta Hai, Lakshya and Don later ventured into acting and gave stellar performances in Rock On, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, and most recently in The Sky is Pink.
He will next be seen in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Toofaan alongside Paresh Rawal, Mrunal Thakur and Isha Talwar.
Shibani Dandekar started out in American television as an anchor and later ventured into Indian television and hosted many events and shows in India. She has also been a contestant on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
