New Delhi: After making her digital debut alongside Adhyayan Suman with Hungama Play’s Damaged 2, Hina Khan will next be seen in Ullu App’s upcoming short film Smartphone. The small screen’s Akshara-turned-Komolika will play a small town housewife in the film and will romance Bollywood actor Kunaal Roy Kapur.
Kunal is all praises for co-star Hina’s enthusiasm and professionalism and streak of perfectionism. “It was my first time working with Hina and she is such a talented actor, so much depth and she says so much without saying anything. She was amazingly professional and a total sport, super enthusiastic about getting things right.
Elaborating about his role in Smartphone, Kunaal said, “I play a newlywed man, who works in the city and has married someone from a small town. He seems to be quite urbanised but is actually quite stuck in his patriarchal ways. He also has some bad habits. In all he’s quite a jerk. I really enjoy playing horrible guys, comes quite naturally to me (laughs).”
Hina Khan who made her Bollywood debut with Lines—which premiered in Cannes Film Festival– and was most recently seen in Vikram Bhatt’s Hacked is yet to taste success in film industry. She on the other hand has many successful shows to her credit from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Bigg Boss 11 and Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Kunal Roy Kapoor has been the part of a few Hindi movies such as Delhi Belly, Nautanki Saala, and 3 Dev.
