New Delhi: Parineeti Chopra who once looked down upon acting today likes to call it her passion. She’s particularly excited about preparing for her role in The Girl On The Train remake and plans to frequently travel in trains in UK to get into the skin of her character.

She once aspired to be an investment banker and pursued a triple honours degree in business, finance and economics from Manchester Business School, but the 2009 recession brought her to India and while staying with her cousin PeeCee and seeing her prepare for Saat Khoon Maaf, she developed an interest in acting world.

Parineeti before venturing into acting worked in YRF’s public relations department for a while. Starting her career with YRF’s Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, she won Best Female debut award and went on to do films like Ishaqzaade, Shuddh Desi Romance, Hasee To Phasee, Golmaal Again, Kesari among others.

The actress recently talked about her journey and matters close to her heart to Niranjan Iyengar and Komal Nahta in reruns of Look Who’s Talking with Niranjan and Starry Nights 2.Oh! recently.

“My switch from a successful business career to being an actress is pure destiny. The genuine love that I have for my work is the reason for my constant energy. Even as a child, I would always be too involved with books all the time which defined me as who I am today,” said Parineeti Chopra.

The actress understands her limitations and doesn’t take criticism to heart.

“I am not an insecure person at heart but I know that I am not as good looking as an actress should be. Specifically, I am not talking about my weight issue but rather my personality and my body language which I am putting an effort to be better at,” the actress said.

Parineeti also talked about loving her independence and how liberated she feels staying all alone. “I like coming back to an empty house which is my own space. Hence I don’t miss anybody being in the house.”

Parineeti like her cousin PeeCee also has a hidden desire to make a career in singing someday. “The one thing I desire the most is to have my own house someday and probably also get back to singing.”

The actress also said she’s now ready for a relationship and cannot wait to have one. “I am a little impatient now. I want to find someone and fall in love with.”

As for relationships, Parineeti doesn’t believe in dating and casual flings. “I’m a very shy person with physicality and relationships. I don’t indulge in them too often. I am slightly orthodox when it comes to all this. I don’t date people or have one-night stands, it’s just how I am.”

Parineeti Chopra on her love for food

The one thing I absolutely love and cannot do without is food. Anytime of my life and moment, I could have a pizza and there was a time I used to have 3 pizzas a day.
