New Delhi: There might be different aspects to the same story. At times one gets highlighted at the cost of blurring the others.
By now many of us know a lot about Uri surgical strikes carried out by Indian Army across the LoC, thanks to the Vicky Kaushal starrer film Uri: The Surgical Strike that detailed the execution of the attacks that came in response to the terror attack that killed not less than 18 of our soldiers.
However, perhaps there are still many unknown aspects to the attack that we do not know yet, from the planning stage of the strike to the heroic tales of soldiers who risked their lives for the nation.
SonyLiv’s upcoming web series Avrodh: The Siege Within claims to uncover the real untold story of what went behind the strike.
Avrodh is inspired from the September 2016 Uri attacks and is based on a chapter from Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh’s book ‘India’s Most Fearless’. It is based on the first hand account of an Army Major who led the legendary surgical strikes on the terror launch pads across LoC.
The trailer of the web series is out and it will get you curious about what the 9 episodes have to offer.
“Let the world know that India is known not just for Mahatma Gandhi but is also known for Subhash Chandra Bose,” says Neeraj Kabi towards the beginning of the trailer.
Amit Sadh, who was seen in Amazon series Breathe, will play the role of the commanding officer of the team who leads the attack.
Apart from Sadh, the series features Neeraj Kabi, Darshan Kumar, Vikram Gokhale, Anant Mahadevan and Madhurima Tulli in key roles.
“I dedicate this to u, Dad. For u & all Indians, I bring to u #Avrodh. We heard about it, read about it, & saw things, but do we know everything? Was it as simple as it seemed? Or did this require strategic planning, precise execution, & daring decision-making? I was truly amazed!,” wrote Amit Sadh while posting the trailer on his Twitter timeline.
