New Delhi: The trend of old TV shows returning to television is catching fast and Colors TV has jumped on to the bandwagon with a re-launch of a gamut of its hit soaps from Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Balika Vadhu, to Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka in the time slot of 12 PM to 4PM.
Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon starring Vivian Dsena as RK and Drashti Dhami as Madhubala enjoyed good ratings throughout its course and now that it has returned to the idiot box, fans can’t keep calm.
A riveting tale, the show revolved around the passionate romance between RK, the Bollywood superstar and Madhubala, daughter of two junior artists. The two initially start on a sour note but over the time fall in love with each other.
Vivian Dsena who played RK widened his already huge fanbase with his spectacular screen presence. Talking about his character, the actor says it will always remain special and that it contributed majorly to his career.
“The character of RK is very close to my heart, the show left such a huge mark in the industry. It was a passionate love story that people still enjoy watching and talking about. Madhubala contributed to my success as an actor and I will forever be thankful for the love that the audience showered through that show. As it now airs on COLORS again, I hope the audience is ready to fall in love with the characters yet again. A lot of hard work went into making the show, and it’s an honor to know that the audiences’ love continues to make it a blockbuster,” said Vivian.
Vivian most recently starred in Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki as Harman opposite Rubina Dilaik.
Drashti Dhami too enjoyed popularity with her titualar character of Madhubala and the show will remain one of her most successful TV shows apart from Geet, Dill Mill Gaye and Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka.
