Bigg Boss 14 will be back come October 3 in an avatar no one has ever seen before. The upcoming installment of the show will be high on luxuries and small joys of life that people have forgotten during lockdown time.

In the Bigg Boss 14 virtual press conference, host Salman Khan spoke to media about the new features of the show, BB 14 house and how he spent his time during the lockdown time in his Panvel farmhouse.

“Jo aapne miss kiya lockdown mein, wo sab bigg boss 14 mein hoga, koi khwahish adhoori nahi rahegi,” says Salman Khan as he unveiled Bigg Boss spa, theatre and even Mall for shopping inside the house. All this has been done to change the 2020 scene, says the host.

As for coming back to shoot, Salman admitted he was scared of resuming shoot considering there is a kid in the house and elderly, but the actor said he accepted the offer to host Bigg Boss 14 as it’s important to work to provide rozi-roti to the members of the show’s team who have been jobless ever since lockdown.

The lockdown time has been nothing short of adventure for Salman who indulged in farming, painting, cleaning, learning new languages among other things.

Contestants are already under quarantine for 14 days and every precaution has been taken from tests to social distancing to ensure corona stays away from the BB14 house. Salman says inside the Bigg Boss 14 house, contestants would be free to do whatever they want once their quarantine period is over.

And the first confirmed contestant to enter Bigg Boss 14 house is…

Jaan, singer Kumar Sanu’s son will enter the show and he’s confident to face the contestants though a little jittery in front of Salman Khan who has been his childhood icon. Salman joked looking at Jaan’s innocent face saying he would need assistance of Sidharth Shukla to survive in the house.

Sidharth asked Jaan what would he do if a female contestant threw chai at him. It is to be recalled that in his season, Rashami Desai splashed a cup of tea on him. Jaan said that he would sing, a garam chai ki pyaali to her. And if she doesn’t mend her ways, he would go the Sidharth Shukla way.

Sidharth then asked Salman some of the questions posed by media. Salman was asked if Bigg Boss 14 would be able to better Bigg Boss 13. Salman said: “Jo aap logon ne last season mein kiya, the whole lot of contestants Sidharth, Shehnaz, Madhurima, Vishal and others, the credit goes to all you people to make the season successful. It would be difficult to compete with you guys for this season’s contestants. I hope they are able to match up and make this season better than previous installment.”

When asked by Sidharth about his feelings on returning to the sets, Salman said he was of course fearful of contracting Covid-19, but it is important for the work to begin so that people get employment.

Salman also shared his thoughts about not working during lockdown period. “For the last six months, I have not worked. This has happened for the first time in 30 years that I have taken such a long break. Although it was a forceful holiday,” said the actor adding that there’s nothing better than good honest work.
