New Delhi: Sasural Simar Ka is back in a new avatar with a mix of old and new faces. While Dipika Kakar played the lead role in the first season of the show, Radhika Muthukumar will play the new Simar in the upcoming season, set to start airing on April 26 on Colors TV.
Just like the old Simar was passionate about dance, the new Simar too has her dreams and aspirations in the field of singing. Shoaib Ibrahim will reprise his role of Prem while other old faces like Jayati Bhatia and Tanya Sharma will also be seen in the new season. The show will also star Avinash Mukherjee and Karan Sharma.
The second season is set against the backdrop of the spectacular city of Agra and the actors have already started shooting in the city. They have shot at various iconic places including Taj Mahal, Sadar Bazaar, Bijli Ghar, Tajganj and many others.
Needless to say the actors are having fun shooting for the show.
Talking about the experience Radhika Muthukumar aka Simar says, “ We are currently shooting in Agra for some very important initial sequences and it has been an enjoyable experience. Given that Agra has a rich culture and great places, we are getting an opportunity to shoot against some wonderful backdrops. We also shot at one of the seven wonder, The Taj Mahal for one of the important sequences. Moreover, starting this new journey with such wonderful co-stars in the city is turning out to be a rewarding experience. I am looking forward to exploring the city in the best possible way and looking forward to it.”
