Mumbai: Reliance Retail on Thursday said that its footwear retail chain Trends Footwear has signed up film stars Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra as brand ambassadors.
Commenting on the association, Akhilesh Prasad, President and CEO – Fashion and Lifestyle, Reliance Retail said, “In Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, we have two popular talented Bollywood youth icons, who have an extensive following among millennials and the youth of India and Trends Footwear is happy to be associated with them.”
Reliance Retail said that Trends Footwear is looking to take over the fashion footwear industry in India by strengthening its presence across town classes.
Reliance Retail is a subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL), the holding company of all the retail businesses under Reliance Industries Ltd. RRVL, through its subsidiaries and affiliates, operates omni channel network of 17,225 stores and digital commerce platforms across grocery, pharma, consumer electronics and fashion.
RRVL reported a consolidated turnover of Rs 199,704 crore ($ 26.3 billion) and net profit of Rs 7,055 crore ($ 931 million) for the year ended March 31, 2022.
Sidharth Malhotra commented on the association, “I am very excited and happy to be associated with India’s favourite footwear destination, Trends Footwear as the face of the brand across India.”
Kiara Advani added, “Fashion and trends go hand in hand and Trends Footwear is a brand which is widely accepted, visible and loved by consumers across India.”
