Thrilled to work with Zoya Akhtar: Janhvi Kapoor on bagging Netflix’s Ghost Stories

After showcasing her acting chops in Sairat remake Dhadak, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor is all set to be part of Netflix’s Ghost Stories in the short film directed by Zoya Akhtar.

Ghost Stories has started filming oday in Mumbai and will see compelling stories in horror/supernatural genre to be directed by four ace directors–Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap. The stories will be thematically connected to each other culimate in a hair-raising end, according to a Netflix press release.

Zoya Akhtar whose last directorial venture was Gully Boy, is back to directing another original film for Netflix – Ghost Stories. The talented Janhvi Kapoor will be an integral part of the chapter in the omnibus that Zoya is directing.

Janhvi is quite excited about making her digital debut with a platform like Netflix and a director of Zoya Akhtar’s calibre โ€œI am thrilled to work with Zoya as a part of Ghost Stories. I have been a huge fan of her incredible body of work and itโ€™s been a dream to work with her. I play a challenging character and can not wait to bring it to life with this film.
