New Delhi:
Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Athiya Shetty’s romcom Motichoor Chaknachoor has been making headlines thanks to its interesting storyline that revolves around a man in his 40s desperate for marriage.

The latest song Crazy Lagdi, sung by Swaroop Khan, the former Indian Idol contestant is climbing up the popularity charts and the singer is quite happy about the song’s success.

He says, “I am happy that I am getting to sing different types of songs and if I sang a Tharki Chokro now I am singing Crazy Lagdi. It gives me a range that enables me to connect with viewers and get good work further.”

Swaroop has crooned to popular songs like Ghoomar (Padmaavat), Tharki Chokro (PK), Mehndi (Dhanak), Bahut Hua Sanman (Mukkabaaz) in the past.

Peppy and refreshing, the song shows Pushpinder (Nawazuddin) trying to woo his neighbour Annie (Athiya) and their unusual but fun chemistry will leave you in splits.

Nawazuddin plays the character of an aging man in his forties who is desperate to marry a girl. The music of the song is composed by Amjad Nadeem Aamir and the lyrics are penned by Kumaar.

The wedding-comedy was shot entirely in Bhopal and the title of the movie was inspired by motichoor laddoos that get served at weddings.

Considering the heroine is much taller than the hero, sharing the song on Twitter, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said, “It seems that you have to climb the ladder and speak in your ears…”
