New Delhi: Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurana are all set to team up for Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo and the fans can’t keep calm. The two have worked in Sircar’s Piku and Vicky Donor respectively before.
Amitabh Bachchan is unrecognizable in the role of an old grumpy landlord and has once again transformed himself into a fresh character with the help of prosthetics.
Apparently, Big B got excited about taking up the film after seeing the look sketch of his character as it was yet another challenge for him.
The latest about the film is that the release date has been advanced to February 28, 2020. Earlier the film was supposed to release on April 24, 2020. Fans will get to watch Gulabo Sitabo sooner than they expected.
Set in Lucknow, Gulabo Sitabo revolves around the love-hate relationship between a house owner (Amrish Malhotra) and his tenant, which will be played by Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana (Sunil Kumar Shukla). Apart from Amitabh and Ayushmann, Nalneesh Neel, Saboor Aly and Tina Bhatia will also be seen in the film.
The film is penned by writer of films like October, Vicky Donor and Piku Juhi Chaturvedi.
“As soon as I read the script, I shared it with Mr Bachchan and Ayushmann at the same time. I thought it would take some time to develop and take it forward, but everyone was so enthusiastic to work on this script, they figured out their dates and here we are, planning to release the film this year itself,” Sircar had earlier told Mumbai Mirror in an interview.
