New Delhi:
Shefali Bagga, the news anchor who entered Bigg Boss 13 and played an individual game in a house dominated by groupism, got eliminated in the first finale and could not reach the second stage of the game.

Apart from Shefali, popular faces like Rashami Desai and Devoleena Bhattacharjee too got evicted.

In an exclusive conversation with Top Lead India, Shefali Bagga spoke about her journey and her co-contestants.

You played well. Were you expecting to be evicted at this stage?

I am still in shock that I am evicted. I wasn’t expecting it at all. I thought people will vote out Aarti and Mahira who were doing nothing. But that didn’t happen.

What went wrong in the ticket to finale task? You wanted to neutralize the task. But that didn’t happen.

In that task, Rashami sent Devoleena for delivery, may be because she had a better connection with her. I tried to convince her that it would be best for us to neutralize the task but to no avail.

I thought if Devoleena would give it to Asim, everybody will get a fair opportunity to enter the second stage, but she made a very stupid mistake and went to Paras. That was the point we could have saved one spot where Mahira is now sitting and we lost that. I am sure it is not just about the task and there are many factors. But I’m just surprised.

Your energy level seemed to drop after first week when you had fought for yourself in the first Queen task.

It’s not like that. I continued to perform very well in the subsequent tasks too. In the second task-the matki one–I was saved from nominations, in the third task-the toy factory, we won again. In the fourth task, something went wrong, but the cancellation of fifth task worked in my favour.

In Bigg Boss, teams are made for tasks but at the end of the day, you have to play for yourself. We should take stand for ourselves. I know group is also important where maybe I lacked somewhere because I was unpredictable and went from this group to that group.

Rashami got an advantage as she was the moderator of Ticket to finale task.

But there was no use of it. Usne khud se bewakoofi ki. I don’t think she knows how to play a game. Even if she knows she didn’t apply her mind. It was clear that Paras would choose Mahira, then what was she thinking. Maybe she wanted to eliminate strong contestants and take Mahira along with her to the next stage as she was a weak contestant.

Do you think popular faces are at advantage in this show as most of the time they are moderators of the task.

I don’t think so. Abu ji was also made a moderator in the task. It’s the decision of Bigg Boss and I never felt it was unfair.

Siddharth Dey was your connection from Day 1. But somewhere, we felt that the bond got affected as you started mingling with other people.

We were always together. I don’t think at any stage his bonding grew stronger with anyone else. We shared a matured bonding and I was not insecure. He knew Rashami from before and his bonding with her was already good. Jo bhi friendship ya bonding thi, wo baahar bhi rahegi, aage bhi rahegi.

What was the worst or the lowest point for you in Bigg Boss 13?

When Sana and I were involved in a fight I was misunderstood. Maine sahi ka saath diya aur mujhe galat dikhaya gaya. I had no wrong intentions and if anybody felt bad due to my words, I had immediately said sorry because I feel sorry bolne se koi chhota nahi hota hai.

But I want to say one thing that Shehnaz mouthed very bad expletives about my character. If they are saying I am wrong, then Shehaz is also wrong. If the two sides have not been captured in the show, it’s wrong.

Do you think Salman Khan is biased towards certain contestants?

I don’t think so. Salman ko jo dikhyi deta hai wo us basis par bolte hain. Shehnaz’s gaali was beeped and was not heard. Salman might not have said this thing, but I made it clear what really happened. As long as it’s conveyed to the viewers, it’s not a problem. Ummeed hai ye baat aap tak pahunchi ho ki shehnaz ne kya kiya.

Maybe things are edited to make it more entertaining for viewers.

Viewers see things that are shown to them. But inside, it happens quite differently. The episode with Shehnaz was not entertaining to me at all because she was unnecessarily provoking. Jab ek ladka bol raha hai, don’t touch me, use nahi choona chahiye. She was wrong and I told her she was wrong.

Siddharth Dey was portrayed in bad light?

He was portrayed in bad light. Wo chup ho gaye the. But his silence was his maturity. So I took a stand for him. We should always take a stand when we feel something is wrong even if the other person is your friend.

Who would be the winner and who’s the weakest contestant right now?

Sidharth Shukla, I think should be the winner. Aarti is the weakest because she doesn’t have any stand. She speaks unnecessarily and is under confident. She is not clear. In the eviction process, she stood up thinking she was the one who was walking out of the house.

Who is the fakest?
Actually there are many. Shehanz is fake because she always plays the bachcha card to sace herself. Paras because she’s playing his game and the other girls are not understanding it. Rashami also because wo apni baat se palat jaati hain.
