New Delhi: The directors of Lust Stories Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee are back, this time with a spooky anthology Ghost Stories.

The film will see four compelling horror stories revolving around supernatural/horror genre and the stories will be thematically connected to each other and culimate in a hair-raising end, according to a Netflix press release.

The four directors released a video talking about the release of the film. It will start streaming on Netflix on 1 January 2020 at midnight.

“Last year we did Lust stories and we had so much fun. Which you all saw and enjoyed that we decided to go one step further. We ventured into a space that none of us had been in before. So this year, we decided to do Ghost Stories. It’s about things that are not really human, monsters, supernatural. I really likes making the film, but something that’s changed everything for us. And things haven’t been the same since,” say the four filmmakers in the video released by Netflix announcing the release date of the film.

The film stars Avinash Tewari, Gulshan Devaiah, Janhvi Kapoor, Kusha Kapila, Mrunal Thakur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Surekha Sikri, Sukant Goel, and Vijay Verma in pivotal roles.

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and RSVP, in association with Ashi Dua of Flying Unicorn Entertainment, Ghost Stories will launch exclusively on Netflix and will stream to 151 million members across 190 countries at the same time.
