New Delhi: Amitabh Bachchan, the yesteryear angry young man, four-time national award winner (for Agneepath, Black, Paa and Piku) and now a recipient of Dadasahab Phalke Award at 77 refuses to slow down.
A lot of hardwork has gone into the making of the legend he is today. There was a time when he used to work in triple shifts of 8 hours each, delivered back to back hits, leaving no scope for others to match his stardom. In fact in 1978, four of his films Muqaddar Ka Sikander, Kasme Vaade, Don and Trishul released in the same month and all were hits.
Noted film critic and author Bhawana Somaaya shared some old movie tickets of Big B’s movies from the 70s and 80s which will surely make film buffs of the time nostalgic. “#DadasahebPhalke award winner @SrBachchan ke liye tohafa. Single screens ki yaadein…Wo bhi kya din thhee jab silver/ golden/ diamond jubilee manayi jaati thi @javedjaduofficial @salimkhan @rameshsippy @yrf @juniorbachchan,” wrote Somaaya.
