New Delhi: Three decades later, in 2020, a granny (Dolly Ahluwalia) wakes up all of a sudden from coma and is unaware of the changes around her including technological advancements and her all grown-up grand children.
Since she thinks it is still 1989, to make her comfortable, her family decide to go back in time and bring in the 90s elements to make the old woman comfortable and prevent her from any shock.
The hilarious situations that arise due to this form the crux of the story. One of the important elements of the film is the good old Doordarshan and the black and white television. Dadi Maa wants to watch old style news and Chitrahaar and the family makes sure all her demands are met. So what happens when she wants her son to get married when her grandchildren are of marrigeable age.
The film will make 90s kids nostalgic and even the current generation who will stay glued to the comic situations. It stars Mahie Gill, Dolly Ahluwalia, Rajesh Sharma and Manu Rishi Chadha in key roles.
The film directed by Gagan Puri and produced by Ritu Arya and Sandeep Arya Films, is slated to release on February 28.
