New Delhi: The EORTV’s series is set in post-Covid time when people do not turn up in the stadiums anymore and cricket board decides to experiment with the concept of mixed-gender cricket match. However, the girl who has come up with this unique concept is embroiled in a scandal and is expelled from the board.

Determined to bring this vision into a reality she starts to make her own team with both girls and boys in it. The web series revolves around her struggle and all the hurdles that come in her way to achieve her dream.

Speaking about her character in the show, Rumana says, “The concept is incredibly fresh, unique and in keeping with current times. And fortunately, the script did justice to the brilliant idea. Aarushi’s character is like a dream role for me. She’s the one who comes up with the idea of ‘Mixed gender cricket’, and she single-handedly makes it all happen. The character is so well layered and goes through such an incredible journey, that as an actor, I felt spoilt! And I am not sure where to go from here.”

Created and directed by Deepak Pandey, the web series features an ensemble cast of Rumana Molla, Megha Prasad, Sachin Verma, Shobhit Attray, Sneha Wagh, Zeeshan Khan, Vindhya Tiwari, Ishani Sharma, Mamta Kumar, Shiraz Khan, Riya Deepsi, Rahul Jaittly, Shahbaz Khan, Piyush Ranade, Nilam, Annurag Batra, Junaid, Kumar Vaibhav amongst others.

“Rumana Molla is absolutely focussed and is a tremendous actress,” said Kaushik Izardar, Executive Director EORTV.

The cast has begun shooting for the series in Moradabad. Sharing her experience, Rumana adds, “Shooting in Moradabad has also been quite incredible. From the weather to the cooperative nature of locals and their excitement, it’s been incredible to shoot in this under-explored city. Hopefully, after this, more people will start shooting here. The highlight of this shoot has been the sequence at a real police station, and also playing cricket! As someone who was never into cricket, I developed an interest in the game all of a sudden, and it feels good to finally get the craze.”

Rumana Molla is an Indian actress who was born in West Virginia in the US. She grew up in Belgium and thanks to the diverse experiences growing up, she can fluently speak 5 languages. Her filmography includes popular projects like Ek Villain, Pyaar ka Punchnama 2, Irada, Trial of Satyam Kaushik, Virgin Bhanupriya and Bawri Chhori.
