The Family Man Season 2 not releasing on February 12. Check out its new premiere date

The Family Man Season 2 has been delayed. It will now release this summer. The makers of the show Raj and DK confirmed the development on social media.

New Delhi: While everyone is waiting for Srikant Tiwari’s return with bated breath, it is not going to happen so soon. The second season of The Family Man has been delayed and it will not drop on Amazon Prime Video this February as announced earlier.

Earlier it was announced that The Family Man Season 2, starring Manoj Bajpayee and Priyamani, will be streaming on February 12, 2021.

Speculations about the series getting delayed had started after the makers didn’t release the trailer on January 19. There were reports that the streaming platform is being extra-cautious after getting embroiled in controveries related to their shows Taandav and Mirzapur.

The makers Raj and DK promise a great season ahead while announcing its new premiere date.

“We know you have been eagerly waiting for the new season of The Family Man. We are truly grateful and humbled by all the love! We have an update for you. The Family Man Season 2 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video this summer! We have been working super hard to get you a kickass season. And we are pretty sure you will love it. Can’t wait to bring it to you!” read their statement on Instagram.

The Family Man stars Sharib Hashmi, Seema Biswas, Darshan Kumar, Sharad Kelkar, Sunny Hinduja, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Shahab Ali, Vedant Sinha, and Mahek Thakur, Samantha Akkineni, Mime Gopi, Ravindra Vijay, Devadarshini Chetan, Anandsami and N Alagamperumal, apart from the main cast of Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani.

The Family Man revolves around Srikant Tiwari who secretly works as an intelligence officer for the TASC, a fictitious branch of NIA (National Investigation Agency). His wife and children think he works in a government company and has a desk job.

Created by Raj & DK, the first season of The Family Man started streaming in September 2019 on Amazon Prime Video. The series won big at the recently-held Filmfare OTT awards.
