New Delhi: Valentine’s Day is much hyped thanks to all the marketing gimmicks and social media hoopla surrounding the day. Not everyone likes to go overboard on social media and profess undying love for their loved ones on V-Day. Here are celebs who are uncomfortable with all the display of mushy love on social media and would rather spend the day with their special someone without internet interference.

Vijayendra Kumeria: These days people live an altogether different life on social media. Couples go crazy posting lovey-dovey messages to each other on Valentine’s Day. I have seen couples posting cute loving pictures on social media and all of a sudden you get the news that they are no more in a relationship. It’s quite funny.

Kettan Singh: Not only Valentine’s Day, every special day nowadays has everyone extensively posting on social media. Social media has now become a way of life for people. Still, I don’t feel Valentine’s Day is only limited to social media, try going out and finding a place to sit on this day, it’s so crowded.

Amal Sehrawat: I am very private about my Valentine’s Day’s celebration and spend the day with my loved ones. For me, it’s not for social media. I am sure there are many people like us who genuinely love the day.

Amit Sarin : Social media has become an integral part of today’s generation, everything including Valentine’s Day is an opportunity to show off on social media.

Sharad Malhotra : Social media has changed a lot of things, including the meaning of celebration for all of us. People get ready and pose only to post pictures on social media. Every moment is captured and posted on social media, and while doing so people don’t enjoy the moment. So, I feel every celebration including Valentine’s Day has become more of a social media spectacle.
