New Delhi: While big and established brands have entered the online grocery market, seeing the immense business potential in this field, start-up retailer TooToo has also stepped in the highly-competitive segment.
Jaipur-based TooToo is the brainchild of Shivain Verma who recently graduated from the USC Marshall School of Business in California.
Verma said that the company has started providing its services in Jaipur.
“Today every Indian is connected to the online world in one way or the other. In this era of internet, Indian are adopting to ecommerce in a big way. Because of this, people have started buying things of daily use — such as sugar, flour, ghee and pulses etc. —online, sitting in the comfort of their homes. Keeping in mind this growing trend, we have entered the online grocery market,” he said.
He further added, “Through our App, customers can get their daily use items at discounted prices within a 2-hour delivery period. We are currently carrying over 5,000 products on our platform, including both local and national brands. Also, consumers can earn points using social commerce to further reduce their grocery bill.”
Verma said that in a short span of one month, the company has achieved the milestone of 5,000 app downloads. He stated that customer satisfaction is the core of their operations, increasing the number of repeat orders every week.
The company is planning to launch its services in other cities of Rajasthan like Jodhpur, Ajmer, Bikaner and Udaipur soon. Its operations are currently bootstrapped and the management plans to approach investors only after a few more months of operations, once they have a substantial customer base.
