New Delhi: After the success of Judwaa and Judwaa 2, Sajid Nadiadwala is working on the script of Judwaa 3, but it will neither star Salman Khan nor Varun Dhawan.
Sajid is not planning to approach the previous Judwaa stars and has confirmed that it will feature a new face, in an interview to a news daily.
Judwaa, David Dhawan’s 1997 laughter riot featuring Salman Khan in double role and Karisma Kapoor and Rambha as his leading ladies became quite a hit at the box office.
The film’s entertaining storyline and its blockbuster songs like Tan Tana Tan Tan Tan Tara, Oonchi Hai Building, Go East or West India is the Best, Duniye Mein Aaye Hain To Love Kar Lo made Judwaa a huge success at the box office.
20 years later, in 2017, the film was remade by the team of Sajid Nadiadwala and David Dhawan the original producer and director of the superhit titled Judwaa 2 and this time starred Varun Dhawan in dual role along with Jacqueline Fernandes and Taapsee Pannu.
Although the remake was panned by critics, the film made the box-office smile by becoming one of the biggest grossers of 2017.
Apart from Judwaa, David Dhawan’s another film Coolie No 1 remake will feature Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan in lead roles. Among the remakes of yesteryear movies, recently released Pati Patni Aur Woh (starring Kartik Aryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday) managed to garner decent collections at the box office.
