New Delhi: TV show Vidya, starring Meera Deosthale in the lead has shut its shop due to coronavirus crisis. Fans as well as the entire team of the show are finding it hard to digest.

The show has been axed by the channel owing to the lockdown in the country.

Vikrant said, “I had a great time shooting for the show. I want to thank my producer Mahesh Pandey and Colors for giving me this opportunity. I also had a great time bonding with my onscreen sister and actor Meera Deosthale and my co-actor Mansi Srivastava in the show. It was unfortunate that the show could not go on post the lockdown. I am a bit emotional over the ending of the show but it is understandable.”

“During the tenure of the show people enjoyed my chemistry with Mansi Srivastava and my work in the TV show. Viewers used to send me messages regularly on my work and how much they liked Avatar,” he added.

Vikrant shares his future plans. He said, “Post lockdown all my fans are hoping to me soon with some good projects. I am hoping the same too.”

Producer Mahesh Pandey also took to Instagram to express his thoughts about the end of the show.

“Good Bye VIDYA. On 1st June 2020, I got a call that our Show VIDYA is being terminate with immediate effect… I was shocked and felt really bad. I had a lot of questions. Why such a decision so suddenly? Since Vidya started, we have been a slot leader at 7 P.M. Vidya’s story is still incomplete. She has not become a teacher yet. I was a perplexed and rattled. I sat down and then realized, Vidya was affected by Corona. It’s a Covid 19 death. There is no other reason for her premature demise,” he wrote.
