New Delhi: Hina Khan and Dheeraj Dhoopar’s new song Humko Tum Mil Gaye released yesterday and the song has left their fans asking for more. In less than 24 hours of its release, the song has already crossed 4 million views and still counting. The chemistry between the two in Naagin 5 was the reason the makers of the song zeroed in on the couple, reveals Hina.
Hina Khan and Dheeraj Dhoopar were earlier seen as the female lead and antagonist respectively in Naagin Season 5.
“The best part was that the music producers wanted to cast on the basis of our chemistry, despite me playing the protagonist in Naagin and Dheeraj has a grey shade as the antagonist but we have a twisted attraction between the two of us which they liked and we’re leaning towards. We just finished Naagin and this came along so it was exciting,” said Hina.
Humko Tum Mil Gaye shows a heartwarming story of a couple who defy all odds to turn an adverse situation in their favour. Hina as a dutiful and loving wife portrays her role quite well, while Dheeraj Dhoopar too does justice to his character.
From showcasing love, motivation, support and a lot of positivity, the video is filled with a lovely vibe and a feel good feeling, which is definitely going to touch numerous hearts.
Speaking about the message the song is set to give out, Hina shares,”I love stories which give out meaningful messages, and fortunately Humko Tum Mil Gaye is one of those beautiful songs which is going to give out a beautiful message. While it does showcase true love between the couple, the theme also emphasizes on trust, confidence, motivation and mainly having faith in yourself to do the best in life that you can. I honestly feel that such lovely content to watch in times like these is a major positive boost, and I sure that Humko Tum Mil Gaye is going to radiate lots and lots of good and feelings to everybody out there.”
Hina quite enjoyed getting into new getups for the shoot. Speaking about the experience of how different shooting for Humko Tum Mil Gaye was, Hina shares,”Music videos usually require a maximum of 2- 3 outfit changes at the most, but while shooting Humko Tum Mil Gaye we actually had a good 10-12 outfit changes for the entire video. It was not only restricted to my outfits, as each getup had a different hairstyle and different makeup as well, so while it was quite a long process it was great fun! Somehow people are always wanting to know what I wear, how I wear it and what goes behind decoding my looks, so a lot of importance was given to all of them through the video, and the team ensured that every look of mine had something unique and stylish about it!”.
Shooting amid pandemic is never easy and the team has to take the necessary precautions. “Though like everyone else I was aware of the precautions to be taken but was also nervous for the virus has been looming over our heads & the end doesn’t look in sight. So the show must go on. We took all the necessary precautions & shot it. Also I’m glad as a video shoot creates an opportunity many wage earners & it can keep their lights running,” said Hina.
