New Delhi: Comedy king Kapil Sharma will soon be making his OTT debut on Netflix. The comedian of The Kapil Sharma Show fame has announced his Netflix debut in a short teaser video where he’s struggling to prounounce the word ‘auspicious’.
In the video, Kapil is having a sleepless night about the shoot of the promo video for Netflix for which he has to say lines in English. He’s particularly baffled with the pronunciation of the word ‘auspicious’. A technical guy suggests Kapil to say the lines in Hindi and he’s relieved. `
So, what else do we know about the show Kapil is debuting with on OTT? Well nothing apart from the fact that Kapil Sharma is indeed coming to Netflix, and it’s not a joke.
Kapil shot to fame after winning The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007 and also participated in Comedy Circus. After doing a couple of comedy shows, Kapil got his own show Comedy Nights With Kapil aired on Colors channel which he made under his banner K9 productions. After a fallout with Colors, Kapil started another show The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony TV. In between he did Family Time With Kapil Sharma when TKSS’ ratings fell post Kapil’s spat with his fellow comedians. The comedian is now successfully hosting the second season of The Kapil Sharma Show.
Kapil has also acted in a couple of Bollywood films like Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, Firangi, among others apart from producing Punjabi film Son of Manjeet Singh.
