IRCTC says all its packages booked, launches Jyotirlinga & Statue of Unity deluxe train tour

The company noted that train services from East, South and Western part of the country are also getting great patronage by public. Buoyed by the response, it plans more train tours to popular destinations.

New Delhi: Indian Railways ticketing arm and tour operator IRCTC has said all its air tour packages for Kerala, Goa, Kashmir, Andaman, Rann of Kutch in Gujarat and North East states have been completely booked suggesting revival of domestic tourism.

The packages had been launched for travel in the month of February and March. Buoyed by the response, the state-controlled firms has planned more such tour packages.

In an official statement, IRCTC on Thursday said that its Bharat Darshan rail package has also been lapped up by the travellers. It has announced to run more trains to popular tourist destinations.

Bharat Darshan train from Varanasi to Jyotirling yatra started on 10th January with 600 booked tourists. Another train from Raxaul, Bihar is scheduled on 31st January for south India and more than 500 seats are booked. Pilgrim special train from Jalandhar for Jyotirling tour on 27th January is booked by more than 600 passengers,” it said.

The company noted that train services from East, South and Western parts of the country are also getting great patronage by public.

In continuation of above packages, IRCTC has decided to run Deluxe AC Tourist trains also on some routes. The Deluxe Tourist Trains would have a host of attractive features onboard such as fine dining restaurants, modern kitchen, shower cubicles in coaches, sensor based washroom functions and foot massager.

“The fully air-conditioned train provides two types of accommodation viz. First AC and 2nd AC. The train has enhanced security features in the form of CCTV cameras,” the official release said.

Two tour packages — Padharo Rajasthan and Jyotirlinga & Statue of Unity are all set to be on offer from next month.

The 4 nights and 5 days “Padharo Rajasthan” tour will start from Delhi Safdarjung on February 12 and cover two important tourist points Jaisalmer and Jodhpur in the desert state. The “Jyotirlinga & Statue of Unity” tour will also start next month and cover two prominent Jyotirling temples — Mahakaleshwar (Ujjain) & Omkareshwar along with the “Statue of unity” in the state of Gujarat.

While “Padharo Rajasthan” package will cost Rs 22,830 per person, the “Jyotirlinga & Statue of Unity” tour package would cost Rs 24,450 for each person. The per person package cost would cover train journey in respective classes, all onboard and off board meals, hotel stay at destinations as mentioned in itinerary, guided excursions with tour escorts in air-conditioned buses and travel insurance for the passengers.
