New Delhi: Producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary is all set to remake the Spanish thriller series The Cleaning Lady for Indian audiences.
Spanish thriller The Cleaning Lady or La Chica Que Limpia known for its gripping storyline and cutting edge content, is all set to get an Indian adaptation. Producer-director Siddharth Kumar Tewary known for shows like Mahabharat, Shani, Radha Krishn among others is all set to bring the show to India under his banner One Life Studios.
He has already started rework on the storyline as per Indian taste and culture.
The Spanish thriller has received incredible reviews and has been a recipient of a number of awards in addition to being rated 8.1 on IMDb – Most Watched Series Cine.Ar 2017, Best Direction Cine.Ar 2017, Golden Martin Fierro Award 2017, Best Series – Martin Fierro 2017 among many others.
While details of casting and the actors in consideration is stills under wraps, when asked about this exciting new venture, Tewary says: “La Chica Que Limpia aka The Cleaning Lady was one of those much lauded shows that found its unique space across many international markets. Not just that, I believe that this is a story with many universal themes and plot points which makes an impact on viewers all over. India, being such a burgeoning content hub, has evolved tremendously in their viewing choices with exposure to such myriad content options,” he said.
“We have a really solid team writing the show to suit the Indian palette while maintaining its international appeal and global storytelling style with consistent guidance from the original international creators of the show,” he added.
