Biriyaani to Custody: Watch these 24 films for just Rs 150 in the digital edition of IFFLA

The Indian viewers can get the Indian pass for Rs 150 and watch six features and 18 short films including National Award winning and critically acclaimed movies.

New Delhi: There is some good news for movie buffs in India as Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) for the first time is making accessible a line-up of 24 films – a mix of critically acclaimed and national award winning features and short films, for Indian viewers for a special price, to boost their spirits during pandemic times.

The Indian viewers can get the Indian pass for Rs 150 and watch six features and 18 short films including National award-winning film Custody (short), the Malayalam film Biriyaani (feature) starring actress Kani Kusruti, a Rotterdam documentary A Rifle and a Bag and a debut feature film Aise Hee (Just Like That).

The other short films that are part of the line-up are Nagaland-set period drama Angh, Bold and mysterious Catdog (the Grand Prix winner at Cannes’ Cinéfondation), Student Academy Award winner and Oscar-shortlisted film Bittu by IFFLA alumnus Karishma Dube, Gujarati film Anita, Dystopian animated masterwork Wade, Rotterdam selected Letter from Your Far-Off Country, Annual Day, a student debut from the Satyajit Ray Film Institute, The Song We Sang, a love story between two young women in the streets of Ahmedabad during Navratri , For Each Other by Rima Das.

The audience who opt for the India Pass will also get an opportunity to attend Q&A sessions with filmmakers apart from watching the films.

The festival will be held virtually from May 20-27. All screenings will be available for viewing starting May 20th at 8:00 am IST and through May 27th at 11:59 pm IST.
