Kamdhenu Arogya Sansthan discusses role of cow-based products in treating Covid-19

Led by former IAS officer Dr SP Gupta, the Sansthan has been in the forefront of championing the cause of cow protection and traditional way of organic farming.

Gurgaon: The house may be divided over cow dung, cow urine and other cow based products as a possible cure for Covid-19 but these items could certainly supplement modern medicine and other therapies used to treat the deadly virus.

Underlining the role of cow-based products in maintaining overall physical health, Kamdhenu Arogya Sansthan held a discussion on the contribution of Panchagavya in overcoming the Corona pandemic which saw participation from eminent persons.

The discussion was part of the Sansthan’s monthly Havan programme organised to pray for the well-being of the people and all living beings. A plantation drive was also undertaken on the occasion.

Among the eminent guests present at the event were senior IAS officer and Additional Chief Secretary and Resident Commissioner of Maharashtra Mr Shyam Lal Goel, social activist Dr Deepak Goel, senior Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL) executive Mr Surendra Singhala and National Chairman of Shri Digamber Jain Mahasamiti Mr Manindra Jain.

Columnist, author and former Press Trust of India (PTI) Director Mr Ved Pratap Vaidik was the Chief Speaker during the programme.

Led by former IAS officer Dr SP Gupta, Kamdhenu Arogya Sansthan has been in the forefront of championing the cause of cow protection and traditional way of organic farming in which cow-rearing plays key part. He has been organising discussions and conferences for years on the benefits of cow-based economy.

At his Bissar-Akbarpur campus of Kamdhenu Arogya Sansthan campus, he has been producing Panchgavya and other products. The self-sufficient facility has been a model of how farming could be transformed.

Panchgavya is prepared using five cow-based produces – Milk, Ghee, Curd, cow urine and cow dung. It has been used in India since time immemorial as cow had been central to the agrarian economy.

Impressed by the works done by Kamdhenu Arogya Sansthan, senior Maharashtra bureaucrat Mr Shyam Lal Goel could not resist his feelings and hold admiration for its founder Dr SP Gupta.

He said that only six months have been left in his retirement and he desires that he should also undertake the social service after his retirement like Dr Gupta.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ved Pratap Vaidik said that in every district of the state there should be institutions like Kamdhenu Arogya Sansthan in order to save cows. He further said that everyone must come forward and must contribute for this noble cause by word, action and deed.
