New Delhi: Bigg Boss 14 is finally here after a record-breaking, historic and super-successful Season 13. If all goes well, the show’s next season will be launched in the coming months. If reports are to believed, BB 14 is expected to go on the floors by the end of October and will see the return of host Salman Khan who will charge a whopping amount of Rs 16 crore per week this time.
While we do not know the theme of Bigg Boss 14, it’s clear that COVID-19 will transform the face of the show drastically as the contestants will be allowed to enter the show only after undergoing COVID-19 tests and will be made to follow social distancing norms during the show. Imagine what the tasks, romances, activities (and even fights) will look like with contestants wearing masks and keeping 6 feet distance from each other.
Who will be the contestants?
Meanwhile, like every year there are a few names already doing the rounds out of which two are almost confirmed. Paras Chhabra’s ex-girlfriend Akanksha Puri made more news than many of the other BB 13 contestants thanks to all the public scruitiny over her relationship with Chhabra. There are reports, that Puri will grace Bigg Boss 14 this time, and spill all the secrets pertaining to her complicated relationship with Chhabra.
Naagin 4 actress Jasmin Bhasin who was replaced by Rashami Desai on the supernatural shows is also reported to be another confirmed contestant who will be seen in Bigg Boss 14 house. However, there is no official confirmation about the contestants yet.
Return of commoners?
Also, there is a buzz that commoners will be back after a year’s sabbatical. Reportedly, there will be 13 celebs and 3 commoners this time in Bigg Boss 14. The online auditions have already wrapped up and a total of 30 contestants have been shortlisted out of which 16 will enter the show.
Like every year, a lot of TV personalities have been approached for Bigg Boss 14. Kitani Mohabbat Hai star Karan Kundra, Ishq Mein Marjawaan actress Aalisha Panwar, MTV Roadies Season 8 winner Aanchal Khurana, TV actress Mansi Srivastava and MTV Splitsvilla former contestant Aarushi Dutta might be in the running to bag the show.
It is now to be seen if Bigg Boss 14 turns out to be more successful than its predecessor or a flop show.
